Girl, Wash Your Face

Girl, Wash Your Face.

This book by Rachel Hollis changed my life.

I wanted to dive back into the past couple of months that I was doing some soul searching. I had been feeling like I was taking care of everyone else around me, and not myself. I was totally pouring from an empty cup.

My husband loves to hunt. Deer season began on October 1. Before season starts, he always prepares the land and spends about an hour or so every evening checking cameras, feeders, and getting food plots ready. One night while he was out doing his thing, I wondered to myself, “What do I like to do?” Gosh. I couldn't think of anything. The only thing I could think of was working. I love to work. I realized that I needed to discover things that I liked, and figure out my own passions. Do some more soul searching. So, I bought a book.

I had heard a lot about this book. It only took 100+ suggestions for me to finally convert – sorry, I'm a slow buyer when it comes to investing in myself. The book is called Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis. You're probably thinking, “Oh Megan, I read that years ago.” I know, I'm a slow buyer. HOLY CRAP. This book is transformational. If you want to make major progress in your life and who you are as a person, read this book. Seriously. It had a major affect on my soul searching.

Now I can say I have a passion for reading. I am starting to read Rachel's next book, Girl, Stop Apologizing.

Stay tuned for my final soul searching approach tomorrow – Hiring a Business Strategist.
